26 hours in a day

Its just week 2 since meeting our EIRs. And just loads more to do. Juggling this project with mounds of research is no easy task. Dawn has been an absolute gem of a person in covering for all the things i’ve missed out. So i can focus on the business and product aspect of the project.

But still, i find myself being more and more agitated. Sometimes i wish that the clock would have 26 hours instead of 24 in a day. Just 2 extra hours of sleep, imagine how much more work could be done.

Its tough to say this but I have to manage my time better, work faster, and smarter. Managing Venture Building and other jobs outside is an extremely tiring and lonely process. Most of the time at this juncture, trekking it alone — and i mean physically, long hours at the office, and 99% of the time sitting down, the 1% is to get food, and this only means when i do have the motivation to get sustenance.

I have to take some time to smell the flowers. The 80 hour work week and beyond is certainly taking a toll on my health physically and mentally, and i swear, depressing thoughts have been running through my mind — what if this is the rest of my life, if i stay in this routine?

But as Lori Greiner once said, “ Entrepreneurs are the only people willing to work 80hours a week to not work 8 hours a week” .

I look forward to that point in my life.
